CoWorking Space

Redesign and interiorism of a local caffé.

perspectiva_superior.jpg

Project undertaken during my semester abroad at Lorenzo de Medici Design School.

This endeavor marked a pivotal milestone in my academic journey, as it represented my initial foray into interior design within the realm of architecture. The focal point of this project revolved around the comprehensive re-design of a local coffee shop, incorporating a diverse array of materials, finishes, and textures.

We had the freedom to create a new concept or keep the caffé; in my case, I developed a CoWorking space along with the coffee shop concept. The culmination of this effort resulted in the creation of a meticulously crafted project brief, affording the "client" a comprehensive overview of the conceptualized design, complete with a curated furniture catalogue.

Throughout the execution of this project, I adeptly employed industry-standard tools, including Rhinocerous, Keyshot, and Photoshop, to manipulate perspectives and refine the intricate details of the rendered visualizations.

PROCESS:

Here are some of the tasks and steps I take into account when working with interiorism:

  • Initial consultation; gather information about the existing space and any specific challenges or limitations.

  • Conduct a thorough analysis of the existing space, including measurements, layout, and structural considerations.

  • Identify architectural features and elements that may impact the design.

  • Consider functionality, aesthetics, and any specific themes or styles the client desires.

  • Create design concepts and mood boards to visually communicate potential themes, color schemes, and styles.

  • Choose materials, finishes, and color schemes that align with the design concept.

  • Consider the durability and practicality of materials for different areas within the space.

  • Select furniture, lighting fixtures, and other accessories that complement the design.

  • Create 3D renderings or visualizations to provide a realistic preview of the proposed design.

  • Use these visuals to communicate the design intent through a brief for the client.
